The Yoga of Awareness and of Light, Kundalini Yoga is an inclusive and therapeutic model for transformation and healing. As the Mother Yoga, it has gifted its Practitioners with the ancient tools of movement (asana), sound (mantra), breath (pranayam), and meditation. These are the tools of Conscious Awakening. We align ourselves with this Yoga as teachers of the Highest Lineages and most empowered Mystery Schools of the ages, sourcing our beginning before written time.
This training in anchored in the evolved wisdom of Universal Law and Principle. We will engage with the rich offerings of Kundalini Yoga’s Golden Chain; without dogma and with a pure heart. Integrating the solid spiritual foundation the vortex of Ojai is reknown for, this Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training will shine light on the traditional pathway of Yogic Awakening, and forge a new and inclusive style of Instructor Level opportunity that is timeless, heartful, empowered, and adapted to an ever evolving world.
This training will also be practical Remembering. It will prepare Practitioners to deeply embrace the dharmic path of the Teacher in both esoteric and down to earth avenues.
Our KRI Certified event will be held over eight weekends, Friday evening through Sunday afternoon deeep in the vortex of Ojai, California in a pristine and magical natural landscape.
This is a specialized Level One designed for an intimate soul group. Spaces are numbered. Please place a deposit to secure a spot if you are called.

About the Teachers
Our leadteacher, Methab Benton, is a long-time yoga practitioner, teacher, and yoga teacher trainer. He is the founder of the Yoga Yoga Studios in Austin, Texas where he has taught Yoga of Sound classes for over 10 years.
Mehtab completed a Kundalini Yoga teacher-training program in 1974 at the Hargobind Ashram in San Rafael, California where he taught Kundalini Yoga in public schools and drug rehabilitation programs. He is a Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainer and an Experienced 500-Hour Registered Yoga (ERYT-500). He has an educational background in psychology with advanced training in Integrative Yoga Therapy.
Mehtab is a three-time presenter at the Southwest Yoga Conference and a recipient of the International Kundalini Yoga Teacher’s Association “Building Communities in Yoga” award in 2000. He has taught Kundalini Yoga workshops and classes to students and teachers from around the world at the annual Kundalini Yoga Summer Solstice gathering in New Mexico. He served on the Board of Directors for the 3HO Foundation, dedicated to spreading teachings of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan and is also president of the Yoga Care Foundation, created to sponsor yoga research and yoga education for disadvantaged populations.
Mehtab is the author of eleven books and over 100 articles on yoga, heath, diet and nutrition, including his latest book, Gong Yoga: Healing and Enlightenment Through Sound.
Tara Matthews, L.Ac, Experienced 500-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, is an accomplished Kundalini Yoga instructor trained at Golden Bridge of Santa Monica, California and Santa Barbara Yoga Center. A yoga teacher of over 20 years, her background in the medical field gives her a unique and in depth understanding of physical and sacred anatomy. The spaceholder for Soul Body Ojai, Tara teaches weekly classes in Ojai and Ventura, facilitates online 40 Day Kundalini Yoga Practice tele~courses and maintains an online subscription yoga service for students. Tara also maintains a full time Chinese Medical and Energy Work Practice at Soul Body Ojai, and leads gong and yoga journies around the world. She currently mentors with Mehtab Benton.
