 nGong Therapy is a certification course in using the gong and the practice
 s of yoga to create a therapeutic environment and transformational experie
 nce for physical\, mental\, and spiritual excellence.\nThe training is sui
 table for sound healers\, yoga teachers\, gong players\, and therapists fr
 om all backgrounds\, and will give you the tools and information to conduc
 t one-on-one private sessions for individual clients as well as suggestion
 s for using the gong as a therapeutic instrument in a group setting.\nIn t
 he Gong Therapy course\, you will learn:   \n\n\n 	The Basis of Sound He
 aling and Yoga Therapy\n 	How to Structure a Gong Therapy Session\n 	How t
 o Play the Gong Therapeutically\n 	How to Prepare the Gong Therapy Environ

 as\, and Postures Therapeutically\n 	The Considerations for Using Gongs fo
 r Healing\n\nThe last day of the course allows you to design and offer a g
 ong therapy session to another student\, as well as receiving your own gon
 g therapy session in return.\nCourse includes a copy of Mehtab’s book\, 
 Gong Therapy\, and a certificate of completion in Gong Therapy.\nPlaying e
 xperience with the gong is required\, or completion of the Gong Basics tra
 ining Friday morning.\nGong Basics with Mehtab and Tara\nJuly 21 FRIDAY 
 • 9am to 12pm • $75\nLearn the basics of how to play the Gong in this 
 hands-on course in a studio full of gongs!\nThe Gong Basics course s for y
 oga students\, sound healers\, and therapists who have little or no experi
 ence in playing the gong\, and for those who wish to receive certification
  in Gong Therapy.\nThis course will teach you -\n\n\n 	The basic mallet an
 d striking techniques\n 	The primary playing areas of the Gong\n 	Playing 
 positions for the Gong\n 	Elementary playing sequences\n 	Controlling volu
 me and experiencing rhythm\n 	Selecting and taking care of your Gong\n\nYo
 u will be able to play different sizes and types of gongs to discover whic
 h types of gongs and mallets that you like best.\nNo playing experience or
  musical background is required. Space is limited to allow individual play
 ing time with the gongs.\nAbout Mehtab\nMehtab has trained gong players in
  twenty countries and has used gongs for yoga and healing for 25 years. He
  is the originator of Gong Yoga and the author of Gong Yoga: Healing and
  Enlightenment Through Sound\, published in eight international editions
  and translations. His book Teaching Gong Yoga is the first book on usin
 g yoga practices with the gong\, and his book\, Gong Therapy\, has been u
 sed in courses worldwide by yoga teachers\, sound healers\, and therapists
 . He is a Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainer and has led over fifty KRI yoga t
 eacher training programs in the US.
