Step into the wild magic of Baja, where desert meets ocean and the gray whales return each year to birth and nurture their young. We’ll journey into the lagoons three times for close encounters with these gentle giants—some may even invite you to touch them. Two of our lagoon trips will include a transformative gong sound bath on the water, creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience of sound, sea, and spirit.

Mornings begin with yoga to ground and awaken, evenings invite connection and reflection, and an optional petroglyph excursion offers a window into ancient wisdom etched in stone. Along the way, we’ll travel through Baja’s vast deserts, stunning coasts, and vibrant villages. Water, Wisdom and Whales!

This is more than a trip—it’s a pilgrimage into nature’s heart, where whales, sound, and spirit guide you into deeper presence and wonder.

Leaving from and returning to  San Diego, California. March 8th-14, 20206 by comfortable coach.  Includes transportation, most meals, lodging, yoga, and whale journeys.  Does not include 2 dinners or tips.

Tara Matthews is a KRI Kundalini Yoga teacher trainer, acupuncturist, and the owner of Soul Body Ojai yoga studio and healing center in Ojai, California. She is a Gong Trainer and an accomplished yoga teacher of 26 years.  She has organized and hosted Baja Whale and Sound Journeys for over 15 years.
