I have been with Soul Body Ojai for a few years now and I am happy to re-introduce myself for those of you whom I haven’t had the pleasure of teaching, healing or meeting yet.
The path of a healer is definitely a calling. A calling that I gradually stepped into because it’s an unorthodox profession, a profession that I never thought in a million years would be the path I would take. When I took Reiki Level 1, I didn’t take it because I was interested in being a healer, I took it because I knew I wanted to be self-reliant when it came to my physical health and spiritual well being. I was 30, hated my job, was processing my feelings about a boy, meanwhile going through a huge transition. With the help of another healer, and giving myself Reiki everyday, I ended up moving out of the country and going back to my homeland to connect deeper with my some of my immediate family. My soul longed to be reunited with my them, dream upon dreams of seeing my cousins in Kathmandu, and my soul longed to take a different path, but the ego-centric part refused to listen until that Reiki Level 1 class.
Evolution
I think most of us that seek some type of healing, or spiritual expansion, do so because we want to overcome whatever problems we have and grow. And the path to becoming and stepping into healership isn’t an easy road to accept for some, for others it’s a no-brainer; for me, my brain was slow to get on-board. But evolved into healing I did, one stubborn slow step at a time.
I knew I have always been empathic, and it made me understand people on a deeper level, that their outward actions were coming from ingrained patterning that I could see like a roadmap to their past. It never occurred to me that helping was healing. I just knew I went out of my way to help people. I remember being in the 5th grade and counseling a friend about her boyfriend and being able to understand why she felt frustrated with him. I considered it a strength that I could be deeply empathetic to someone’s plight and put myself in their shoes, which energetically I was. I can see all this now, as someone that works with Energy, and as my work continues to evolve with the changing energies, I also change.
It all makes sense now, my trajectory in this life, it’s not a straight line but the thread of empath, “seeing” energy patterns and the innate need to help people has been the common thread. I became fascinated with ghosts after reading my first ghost story when I was in the 3rd grade. This led me to explore parapsychology, along side playing with my Barbies and Cabbage Patch dolls. As a teenager and going HHS (hormonal high school), I explored meditation and questioned my purpose on earth. The path of self-help started then and continues today. I strive for balance and loving myself, self-compassion and I honor the deep compelling pull to help my earth family.

I am honored to be your guide and hold your hand as we navigate what holds you back in your love life, from the work you love to do, or to help you learn how to listen to your intuition and develop the courage to follow your intuition.
